Twenty-four new apprentices join North Industrial and North Logistics

Twenty-four apprentices started with the group in September, the largest annual intake since the programme began in 2011. Fourteen joined North Industrial at Immingham, Teesside and Grangemouth, six joined North Logistics at Tilbury and Duisburg, and four are based in the group’s London finance function.

Apprentices spend their first year at a training provider with regular placements at depots, then move to a full-time position with a named mentor. The group pays for qualifications up to Level 4 and guarantees an interview for a permanent role on completion.

Around one in three of the group’s current depot managers began as an apprentice. This year’s intake includes the first apprentice to join the Esbjerg team ahead of the Nordhavn contract.
