North Logistics has completed a 4,000 square metre extension to its Antwerp terminal, adding covered storage for temperature-sensitive and high-value industrial cargo. The extension was finished on schedule and within its £5.2 million budget.
The new bays have controlled temperature zones, a dedicated customs inspection area and a direct connection to the terminal’s existing rail link. Fourteen new roles have been created, all filled locally.
Antwerp handles roughly a quarter of the division’s cross-border volume, and the extension is expected to support double-digit growth in chemicals and specialist equipment traffic.
